Believe it or not the past weekend was the first in some time that we were in town. We finally had a chance to take in the weekly Saturday market that takes place on Castle Terrace, just alongside Edinburgh Castle. There were a lot of interesting meats featured such as wild boar, ostrich, and pigeon (yeah - we passed on that one!). As well as fruit and vegetables, pasteries and cheeses to name a few things. We had a great lunch (Angus Beef Burger) and picked up a fantastic quiche and cheescake that we enjoyed the next day at a brunch with some friends - it was a big hit! We also checked out the international market that was in town for a short time just off Princes street. There's definitely excitement around every corner in this city.
