The Inner Circle of Stonehenge

The highlight of our whirlwind daytrip to England was going to Salisbury and the famous nearby Stonehenge. Even more special was that I had arranged ahead of time for the boys and me to get inner stone circle access which is something fairly uncommon and only available at select dates and only to small groups ... normally visitors to the exhibit have to stay at a distance behind an area roped off. We took dozens of awesome photos and also brought into the inner circle a special robe / blanket in the Rose tartan that Debbie (my brother Peter's partner) made for me years ago ... very cool to me and has a lot of significance. We were able to stroll among the stones from 4:30 to 5:30 as the sun started it's daily decent in the horizon which I felt was also special as it is widely believed that for 5000 years this was the exact site of structures used (and still is used by some) as a way of observing the movement of the sun (across the seasons) and in worship / reverence to it.
