On the last Sunday of every month, a local group that promotes cycling in Edinburgh, Spokes, hosts a family bike ride. This month the event drew about fifty participants from diverse backgrounds, from the young to the "mature", families and individuals. The outing was about three hours in total. The group leaders led us on a number quiet streets and pathways to our destination - The National Gallery of Modern Art.

This Gallery is off the main tourist path so we had not seen it before. While at the gallery, we had a nice break at their garden cafe. It was a beautiful setting with outdoor sculptures and many varieties of flowers in bloom. Harrison really enjoyed the ride and was riding way ahead of us near the group leaders for much of the time. We're definitely going to make this a monthly event.
