Well it's the start of a new season of festive activities in Edinburgh! On Thursday November 22 was the kick off to Edinburgh's winter festival. Throughout the Christmas season there is a fair set up in Princes Street Gardens with rides, an ice rink, and a German market. As well, there are many events throughout the city to enjoy.

On Friday we all went out to take in the fair. We rode the big ferris wheel and got a great view of the city and the Scott monument. Parker thought it was a hoot and wasn't afraid at all although we were very high up. Then we took a stroll through the market and saw many traditional European Christmas toys and ornaments along with handmade clothes, arts and crafts, and a variety of seasonal food fare. The fare runs throughout Christmas and into the new year - just another one of the many reasons that Edinburgh is a great place to be!
