How does my brain work

As many of you know from reading Harriet's updates ... she is studying neuro-psychology and been learning about Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (FMRI) assessment and interpretation of the brain among other topics. This week as part of a research project at the university looking at neural imaging of people with schizophrenia I had a FMRI completed on me (this might be a good juncture to emphasize that I was part of the "control group" for comparison rather than the "experimental group"!). It was an interesting experience ... the machine was really loud and looked like the picture I downloaded from the internet. I was just happy to get confirmation that I have a "whole brain" and they didn't find an anomaly like half of it missing or something crazy like that!

Hey guys, I fear that if I ever had my head scanned that they might find a hamster on a wheel.
