Spring Fever in February? ... you bet it is!

OK, most of you reading this are friends and family back in Canada where it is still in the heart of winter so while we don't want to "rub it in" it's hard to contain spring fever this past week as in Edinburgh we are moving out of winter. And it's not just the people who are excited since nature is getting in on the act too ... this past weekend while on a big family bike trip around Edinburgh we saw crocuses and many other flowers blooming already. It has been getting up into the high single digits consistently and all the snow from hills surrounding the town has melted.

For our friends in Europe reading this, you have to understand that in Canada we generally have to wait another couple of months until April for anything like this ... so our amazement with spring this early in the year is genuine.
