Harrison's turns 8

This year we went "all out" with a really special birthday party for Harrison. He had 10 of his classmates and Parker join him for a fun afternoon ... since we were planning on being out of town this long holiday weekend during Sept 14th (his actual birthday) we had the party on Friday after school finished early. As you may know from reading past postings, Harrison is really interested in Ancient Egypt and his primary class is studying it right now too. There is an indoor play centre and fun house in Edinburgh called Time Twisters which is incredibly well designed and themed around Ancient Egypt ... the perfect place for his party.

After playing for an hour on various indoor slides and climbing structures, the kids sat down to a meal and cake. Harrison, being the birthday boy, sat in an Egyptian throne and his classmates nicknamed him "Pharaoh-son" ... he loved it! Parker was happy to be included in his big brother's celebrations and had fun too. Harrison received countless books about Egypt, the history of Scotland, and many other cool toys from his friends and family. One of the really cool gifts was from mom and dad ... a membership to Egyptology Scotland so that he can get newsletters throughout the year and is invited to events in Edinburgh and Glasgow when various experts visit.
