Flying High at the Leuchars airshow
This year we went to the annual Leuchars Airshow just outside of St Andrews. It is held at an active Royal Air Force Military base and is a spectacular display of mostly military and some civilian planes and piloting. Too many to mention them all, highlights included seeing MIGs, F16's, Tornado's and the RAF's most modern plane the Typhoon. There were plenty of older style planes including Lancasters, bombers, and a really special flight of the Vulcan which is a famous plane in Britain that won them the Falkland Islands war with Argentina. For any flight enthusiast it is a must and especially when you luck out on the weather like we did! There was even a "special appearance" by some rather nasty security agents who took a liking to Phil.
